Big Brother is back!!

Every summer for the past 8 or so years, I develop the same dangerous, yet amazing addiction. It occupies three evenings per week, distracts me from my social life, and causes severe tension in my family. Tonight, in what may be a result of the writers’ strike, the source of my addiction makes its first winter debut.

For this first time in history, CBS is airing Big Brother during the winter season. Big Brother usually runs for 90 days through the summer.

As with every season, a twist is added to manipulate the living situation of the house guests. ‘Til Death Do You Part’ is the theme for this season and every house guest is paired up with another guest, who they will play the entire game with. As a pair, they will be Head of Household together, and nominated for eviction together. Who knows, we may even see the odd romance….

I have family who have already seen the premiere episode tonight and have told me it looks like it will be a good season. I guess I’ll have to prepare myself for a premature Big Brother season addiction… It’s unfortunate, but I can’t wait.
